The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hipfl clinches up with Drummand and pushes him back against the cage.
Hipfl manages to break the clinch.
Hipfl has Drummand up against the cage in a clinch.
Drummand has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hipfl avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hipfl clinches with his opponent.
Hipfl's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Drummand keeps control of Hipfl as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Drummand drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Drummand is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hipfl can't fight it off and eventually Drummand manages to take the fight to the floor. Hipfl looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Drummand advances position into side control!
Hipfl stops Drummand from passing to mount.
Hipfl manages to work his way to half guard, despite Drummand's best efforts.
Hipfl is looking for a sweep. Drummand is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hipfl manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hipfl fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Drummand stops Hipfl from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drummand can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hipfl moves nicely into side control.
Hipfl working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hipfl tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hipfl has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hipfl has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Drummand bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Drummand is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hipfl has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Drummand is looking to defend but Hipfl has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Drummand! Hipfl pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Drummand taps out and this one is all over!
