Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rez Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Hawkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez comes to the ring accompanied by Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stephen Hawkin!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cortez drops Hawkin with a nice combination! Cortez dives into Hawkin's guard, looking to finish!

Hawkin is rocked!

It looks like Stephen Hawkin has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cortez landing with the ground and pound.
Hawkin is still in real trouble! Can Cortez finish him?
Cortez throwing strikes from guard but Hawkin blocks nicely.
Cortez passes into half guard.

Cortez decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Hawkin seems to have recovered his senses.
Hawkin misses with a double jab

and Cortez counters with a big uppercut that knocks Hawkin off his feet! Cortez dives into side control looking to finish!
Cortez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Hawkin is trying to buck Cortez off.
Hawkin dodges the ground and pound from Cortez.

Cortez decides to stand back up.
Cortez connects with a nice cross there... Hawkin is looking wobbly and Cortez recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Hawkin to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Cortez jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rez Cortez!
A relieved looking Rez Cortez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
