Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Loki Lazerous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Pasila!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasila ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lazerous moves away.
Pasila shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lazerous napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lazerous on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lazerous tries to get out of the position.

Pasila tries for a kimura but Lazerous is defending well.

Pasila looks up at the clock and then as Lazerous takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pasila smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Lazerous tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pasila is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lazerous knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pasila tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pasila has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lazerous wants to control but Pasila postures up.
Lazerous tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pasila presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pasila takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lazerous takes a swing at Pasila's ribcage but misses.
Pasila shoots in and gets a takedown into Lazerous's guard.
Pasila wants to pass the guard but Lazerous is keeping the position.
Pasila stands and throws Lazerous's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Lazerous takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pasila working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ground and pound from Pasila seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pasila wants to control but Lazerous is keeping him busy.
Lazerous sneaks back into half guard.
Pasila is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pasila throws a strike but Lazerous avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Pasila lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pasila has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lazerous's face.
