Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Cadge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mordechai Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cadge might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jaws of Life. Mordechai Marx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nathan Cadge's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Cadge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mordechai Marx! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cadge motions for Marx to come forward. Cadge throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cadge pivots, looking for a leg kick but Marx is out of range and Cadge settles back down. Cadge throws an overhand right that lands on Marx's shoulder, as Marx tries to avoid the shot. Marx pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Marx lands with an overhand left. Cadge looks to land a left hand but Marx moved out of range nicely. Marx throws a sloppy head kick and Cadge moves out of range easily. Marx throws a right and a left that both miss. Cadge misses with an uppercut
and Marx counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cadge swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cadge swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cadge doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Marx changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cadge looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Marx taking a breather here. Marx is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cadge knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge struggling a bit here. Cadge is looking to regain half guard here but Marx keeps moving and retains side control. Cadge manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Cadge tries to get to full guard but Marx has control of the leg. Cadge is looking to control Marx's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cadge avoid being mounted? Marx frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cadge can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marx trying to control but Cadge is having none of it. Marx has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cadge's face.
Marx fails to advance to Cadge's back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! BOOM! Marx connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Marx working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Marx wants to control the pace but Cadge is squirming around nicely. Cadge gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marx uses his free foot to push down on Cadge's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cadge. Marx with a couple of short strikes. Marx with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Cadge wants to control but Marx is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marx looking for a guillotine from mount but Cadge is having none of it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marx tries to control but Cadge wriggling away. Marx thowing shots but they're missing. Cadge really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marx content just to control the position here. Marx has hold of Cadge's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cadge manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cadge is desperately trying to improve his position but Marx has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cadge is working hard here to advance position. Marx is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cadge can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Marx wants to control the pace but Cadge is squirming around nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mordechai Marx dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Marx moves out of range as Cadge strikes. Sloppy strikes from Cadge. Those never looked like landing. Nathan Cadge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cadge misses with a hook. Cadge tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cadge with a body punch. A glancing blow. Cadge ducks under a wild hook from Marx. Cadge punishes Marx's body with a nice straight punch. Marx keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cadge. Marx swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Marx jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cadge swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cadge misses with an uppercut. Marx saw that one coming. Cadge throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marx counters with a left to the body. Marx walks into a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Marx slips a straight right by Cadge. Marx throws the left hand but Cadge avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge throws out a loose jab but Marx uses good head movement to avoid it. Cadge throws a hook but Marx blocks it. Cadge pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cadge misses with a double jab.
Marx throws a big shot that misses. Marx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cadge. Cadge on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Marx. Marx obviously looking to wear him down.
Cadge throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Marx misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marx throws a right and a left that Cadge avoids nicely. Cadge chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Cadge takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marx throws a front kick that sends Cadge stumbling back into the cage. Cadge missing with a left hand there. Marx was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nathan Cadge is winning the standup battle so far. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marx.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Cadge. Cadge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marx was well out of range. Poor timing from Cadge. Cadge misses with a straight left. Nathan Cadge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cadge throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marx counters with a nice uppercut. A jab from Cadge misses. Cadge waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Marx. Cadge works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Cadge tries to clinch but Marx moves out of range. Cadge throws a leg kick but Marx checks it. Cadge rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marx moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Marx uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cadge has time to react. Marx getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Cadge thows a left - swing and a miss! Marx throws the left hand but Cadge avoids the punch easily. Marx avoids the body shot from Cadge.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marx throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cadge tried to score with a low kick but Marx checks it. Marx avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Cadge throws an off balance right hand
letting Marx counter with a right hand. Cadge misses with a looping right. Marx lands with a hook. Cadge tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cadge lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marx has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marx and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Cadge loads up on a big right hand but Marx slips the punch. Marx will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Marx bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Marx throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cadge throws a leg kick which misses Marx's front leg but catches the back leg as Marx tries to avoid it. Cadge scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A decent looking cross lands there for Cadge. Marx works the jab nicely. Marx scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marx plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A shot to the liver by Cadge. Beautiful body shot. Marx is breathing heavily. Cadge tries to clinch up. Marx lunges at Cadge with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cadge's hand. Marx pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cadge throws a series of punches but Marx avoids them all with ease. Cadge misses with a lunging right hand
and Marx counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Marx delivers a nice body kick. Marx closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A combination from Cadge does no damage. Marx lands a jab to Cadge's midsection. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A shot to the liver by Marx. Beautiful body shot. Oooooh!!! Marx has knocked Cadge down with a huge combo! Marx steps away and waves a wobbly Cadge back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Cadge is rocked! Marx scores a takedown into full mount! Oh Cadge is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Marx sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mordechai Marx will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Marx pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cadge seems to have got his legs back now. A telegraphed right hand from Cadge misses the target. A big right from Marx misses. Cadge throws a hook to the side of Marx's head but Marx sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Cadge misses the target. Marx fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Marx tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cadge uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marx.
Marx throws a hook but Cadge avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Marx. Cadge jabs at Marx's body. Marx takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cadge, as that shot connected.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Marx checks a leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Cadge rushes Marx and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cadge takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cadge throws a lazy right hand but Marx sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marx keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cadge. Marx misses with an uppercut. Marx pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Marx tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cadge connects with a jab. Marx takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cadge smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Mordechai Marx has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marx tests Cadge's chin there with a solid looking shot. Cadge scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Cadge has Marx up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cadge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marx on the wrong end of a nice jab. A shot to the body from Cadge misses and Marx decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cadge's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cadge is pulling down on Marx's head. It's preventing any offense from Marx, at least for the moment. Marx wants to control from the top but Cadge keeps moving. Marx stopping the sweep attempt from Cadge. Marx trying to control the position from guard on top but Cadge is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marx tries to free his leg and advance position but Cadge is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marx missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cadge wants to sweep here but Marx controlling him for the moment. Marx sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cadge's guard. Marx wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cadge keeps working. Marx is working for a submission of some sort.
Cadge gets full guard. Cadge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cadge seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Cadge keeping moving, preventing Marx from controlling successfully. Nathan Cadge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marx trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cadge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marx is one step ahead there. Marx wants to control from the top but Cadge keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mordechai Marx. Marx thows a body kick. Cadge tries to catch it but that hurt him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marx misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marx staying out of range there. Cadge staying out of range there. Cadge throws an off balance right hand
and Marx counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Cadge showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marx has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
