Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grappling Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oda Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grappling Best! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oda Hattori! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Best lands a head shot. Best catches Hattori with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hattori shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Best as he jumps to the side. Best has Hattori up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hattori's face as he tries to break the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hattori. Best is stalling here.

Hattori shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Best defends it nicely. Hattori avoids the head kick by Best.

and Hattori counters with a series of strikes. Best will be more careful next time no doubt. Hattori shoots for a takedown but Best saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Grappling Best has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oda Hattori. Hattori shoots in looking for a takedown but Best manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hattori's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Best lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hattori has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hattori and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Best looks to score with a jab to the body but Hattori is just out of range. Hattori closes this distance looking for a takedown but Best circles away.

That must have hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Best throws out a loose jab but Hattori uses good head movement to avoid it.

Best thows a body shot but no joy. Best fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hattori. Best leaves Hattori with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hattori pushes Best against the cage but Best circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A clash of legs there as Best blocks the low kick. Hattori fails with the takedown. Hattori thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Best if he has to take too many more of those.
Grappling Best is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Best moves into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Grappling Best. Well Best has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
