PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Farr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Hearst Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Farr kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Welsh National Anthem. Hogan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Game. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tommy Farr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Hearst Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan connects with a single shot there.
Hogan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Hunter Hearst Hogan has been cut.
Farr cracks Hogan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hogan fakes the leg kick and cracks Farr in the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hogan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Farr's head.
Hogan throws a jab but it's blocked by Farr.
Farr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hogan.
Hogan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Farr's calf.
Farr stuffs the takedown attempt from Hogan. Hogan gets slowly back to his feet.
Farr stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hogan.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Hogan.
Tommy Farr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hunter Hearst Hogan.
Hogan slips a jab from Farr.
Farr missing with a left hand there. Hogan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Hunter Hearst Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Farr throws out the jab.
Farr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hogan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Farr, pushing him back against the cage.

Hogan wants a takedown but no success here.
Hogan tries to land knees in the clinch but Farr avoids the damage to the body.
Farr is looking to break free of the clinch but Hogan has double underhooks.
Farr tries to circle away but Hogan has him pinned against the cage.
Hogan prevents a body shot from Farr.

Farr gets underhooks to prevent Hogan's takedown attempt.
Hogan is looking to control Farr's arms but Farr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hogan has his back to the cage.
Hogan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hogan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Farr has him pressed against the cage.
Farr is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Farr is pressed up against the cage. Hogan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Farr down to the mat. Farr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Farr takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hogan just misses with a punch to the body.
Hogan connects with a solid leg kick.

Hogan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Farr looks like he's trying to stand up.
Farr is staying active underneath Hogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Farr is refusing to be controlled, as Hogan sits in half guard.

Hogan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Farr has managed to free his arm - good work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hogan is keen to just control but Farr is a slippery customer.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Farr is staying active underneath Hogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Farr seems a little lost for a moment, as Hogan dominates the positioning.
An elbow from Hogan crashes against the mat.
Hogan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Farr is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farr tries to bench press Hogan off him but Hogan keeps the position.

Farr is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Hogan advances nicely into full mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hogan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
