Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Transler forces Askren back against the cage and clinches.
Transler turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Askren manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Askren tries to roll over but Transler keeps him under control.
Transler thows a huge punch but Askren dodges it nicely.

Transler is stalling here. Askren is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Transler seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Askren has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Askren postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Askren in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Askren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Transler keeps working.
Askren is working Transler over with some ground and pound from side control.
Transler wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Askren throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Askren has hold of Transler's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Transler tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Askren cranks the arm and Transler screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Transler, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ben Askren!
Ben Askren got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
