Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Laynpray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Greco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laynpray comes into the arena with Estranged by GN'R - all 10 minuets of it. blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Laynpray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Greco! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laynpray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Greco but Greco pushes him off and we're back to square one. Greco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Laynpray. Excellent takedown into side control there by Laynpray. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Laynpray working the ground and pound but Greco is defending the strikes. Greco is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Laynpray looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Greco is avoiding damage well.
Laynpray creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Greco sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Greco is looking for a sweep. Laynpray is looking to take a break and control but Greco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Greco parries the strikes from Laynpray easily there. Laynpray is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Greco to escape.
Laynpray misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Laynpray throws an elbow but Greco slips to the side and avoids it well. Laynpray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Greco keeps working. Laynpray working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laynpray misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Greco wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! You can see the frustration on Greco's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Laynpray is trying to ground and pound but Greco uses the momentary lack of control by Laynpray to regain half guard. Laynpray trying to control the action but Greco is working from the bottom. Laynpray sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Greco defending well though. Greco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Greco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Laynpray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Greco is trying to stand up here but Laynpray is controlling him well. Laynpray trying to control the action but Greco is working from the bottom. Greco tries to roll over but Laynpray keeps him under control. Greco trying to control here.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Laynpray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Greco tries to kick Laynpray off but Laynpray keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Let's see if Greco can do anything to dispel that myth. Laynpray missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Laynpray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Greco doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Laynpray. Greco tries to get to full guard but Laynpray has control of the leg. Greco keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Laynpray thows a huge punch but Greco dodges it nicely.

Laynpray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Greco is staying active underneath Laynpray, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Laynpray prevents Greco from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Greco wants to control but Laynpray is keeping busy and won't allow it. Greco tries to get to full guard but Laynpray has control of the leg. Laynpray is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Laynpray landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Greco pushes Laynpray off and gets back to his feet. Greco defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laynpray. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Laynpray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Laynpray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Greco but Greco pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laynpray misses with a takedown attempt - Greco sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Greco lands a left and a right that send Laynpray crashing to the mat, dazed. Greco thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Laynpray is rocked!
It looks like Joe Laynpray has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Greco avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Laynpray fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Greco uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A decent looking cross lands there for Greco. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Laynpray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Greco as he jumps to the side. and Greco counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Laynpray! He's just covering up as Greco starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
