Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergio Duff!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duff fails with a takedown attempt.
Duff is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bauer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Duff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bauer sprawls well. Bauer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duff gets slowly back to his feet.
Todd Bauer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Duff.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bauer is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Duff is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bauer is surviving well by controlling Duff's body position as best he can.

Duff is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bauer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bauer shrugs it off.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Duff wants to control the pace but Bauer is squirming around nicely.
Duff seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Bauer is holding on tight.
Bauer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Duff is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bauer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bauer shrugs it off.

Duff has hold of Bauer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bauer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Duff wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Bauer is trying to stand up.
Bauer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duff on the ground.

Bauer trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Bauer is breathing heavily.

Duff has control of Bauer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bauer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bauer wants to use the ropes to get back to his feet here.
Duff has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bauer's face.
Bauer is trying to stand.
Duff tries to control but Bauer wriggling away.

Duff looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Bauer is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Duff is working for a guillotine from mount but Bauer frees his head quite easily.
Bauer is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Duff is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Bauer throws a head kick but Duff moves out of range.

Duff looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

enabling Bauer to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bauer scores with a one two! Duff had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Duff misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergio Duff dominated that round.
That's time! Bauer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bauer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Duff shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bauer pinned against the ropes. Bauer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Duff throws a jab when Bauer was well out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bauer.
Bauer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Duff is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bauer throws a head kick but Duff moves out of range.

Duff is still on wobbly legs! Can Bauer finish him?
Bauer punishes Duff's body with a nice straight punch.
Bauer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Duff.
Duff seems to have recovered his senses.
Duff is breathing heavily.
Bauer slaps away a takedown attempt from Duff, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Duff moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Duff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bauer sprawls well. Bauer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duff gets slowly back to his feet.

and Bauer makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Duff really felt that one!
Todd Bauer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bauer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bauer drops Duff with a beautiful combination! Duff stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bauer is looking for the KO!
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bauer here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bauer steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Duff is out on his feet! Bauer sets himself and nearly takes Duff's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Todd Bauer!
A very excited looking Todd Bauer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
