With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gab Jay-ar!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay-ar shoots in for a takedown but Lin shows good takedown defense.

Lin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jay-ar on the ground.

Jay-ar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jay-ar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lin wants to take a breather but Jay-ar is having none of it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

It looks like Gab Jay-ar has been cut.

Jay-ar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lin pulls his head out easily.
Lin looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jay-ar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.


That has opened up Gab Jay-ar's cut even more.
Lin scores with a couple of good hammerfists.


The cut above Gab Jay-ar's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Jay-ar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lin pulls his head out easily.
Lin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lin is looking to take a break and control but Jay-ar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Lin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gab Jay-ar's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Jay-ar tries to sprawl but Lin drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gab Jay-ar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Roger Lin!
