Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melving Menhoaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menhoaf has chosen Melvin Manhoef Entrance as his entrance music. Melving Menhoaf has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Sinatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Melving Menhoaf! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menhoaf misses with a series of wild punches.
Sinatra shoots in for a double leg but Menhoaf sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No joy there for Menhoaf, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
No luck for Sinatra with that takedown attempt. Menhoaf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sinatra tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Menhoaf wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sinatra looking for a sweep but Menhoaf has passed into full mount! Oh no! Menhoaf manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sinatra to take his back! Menhoaf is riding his opponent, not letting Sinatra buck him off. Menhoaf looking for the choke but no joy. Menhoaf has the hooks in. Sinatra is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Menhoaf gets his hands free as Sinatra looks to control. Menhoaf connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Sinatra to escape the position.
Sinatra tries to escape but Menhoaf has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Menhoaf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sinatra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sinatra is working hard here to advance position. Menhoaf has good solid back control here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Menhoaf is not going to allow Sinatra to sit and survive in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Menhoaf is trying to stick to Sinatra's back but Sinatra is turning into Menhoaf. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Menhoaf's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sinatra. Menhoaf pulls Sinatra in close to prevent any damage. Menhoaf is looking to stand up but Sinatra isn't so interested in that idea. Menhoaf is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sinatra wants to pass the guard but Menhoaf is keeping the position. Menhoaf looking for a sweep. Not yet Menhoaf, not yet. Sinatra postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinatra tries to free his leg and advance position but Menhoaf is retaining full guard. Sinatra trying to control the position from guard on top but Menhoaf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Menhoaf misses with a double jab.

Menhoaf rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sinatra moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Menhoaf looks gassed! Menhoaf misses with a takedown attempt and Sinatra counters with a shoot takedown. Menhoaf fights it but they end up in guard. Menhoaf throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Menhoaf fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sinatra misses with a takedown attempt and Menhoaf counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sinatra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Menhoaf controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Menhoaf stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Menhoaf gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sinatra counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Menhoaf is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sinatra tries to pass to full mount but Menhoaf defends it. Menhoaf is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sinatra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Menhoaf does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Menhoaf is trying to stand back up but Sinatra is controlling him

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Menhoaf shoots in and bounces Sinatra off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Menhoaf wanted to stand there but Sinatra had control of the position. Menhoaf slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Menhoaf postures up.

Melving Menhoaf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sinatra is looking to control Menhoaf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sinatra avoid being mounted? Sinatra tries to roll over but Menhoaf keeps him under control. Menhoaf wants to stand up but Sinatra has a hold of him and won't allow it. Sinatra is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Menhoaf scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that's the end of the fight! Melving Menhoaf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Menhoaf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
