Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Campbell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zyd Winner!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell throws a front kick aimed at Winner's knee but Winner avoids it well.
Campbell lands a head kick. Winner smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Zyd Winner has been cut.
Campbell cracks a nice hook into Winner's ribs.
Winner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Campbell misses with a body kick.
Winner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Winner throws a low kick but Campbell avoids it.
Winner throws a lazy uppercut
and Campbell counters with a nice body shot.
Campbell throws a half hearted mid kick.
Campbell lands a big head kick that sends Winner tumbling to the mat! Campbell takes a step backwards and waves Winner back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Campbell takes a swing at Winner's ribcage but misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Winner.
Winner wants to land a leg kick but Campbell is out of range.
Campbell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Winner.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Campbell misses with a body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Winner misses the target.
Horrible takedown by Winner or perhaps it was just good defense by Campbell which made him look bad.
A head kick by Campbell - that's a beauty! Winner is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Campbell can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bruce Campbell!
