Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Masaya Shibuya!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez's corner calls for a 1-2. Velasquez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Masaya Shibuya has been cut.
Shibuya walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Velasquez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Velasquez clobbers Shibuya with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shibuya lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nice body kick there by Shibuya.
Shibuya fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Shibuya misses with a body shot.
Shibuya misses the shot to the body.
Shibuya scores with a nice body kick.
Velasquez is breathing heavily.
Velasquez misses with a wild combination.
Shibuya lands with a slapping head kick.
Shibuya fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Velasquez.
Shibuya lands with a nice body kick.
Shibuya lands a big head kick that sends Velasquez tumbling to the mat! Shibuya takes a step backwards and waves Velasquez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like John Jairo Velasquez has been cut.
Whack! Shibuya lands a heavy head kick that drops Velasquez. The ref tackles Shibuya to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Velasquez was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Masaya Shibuya!
