Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amarela shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jorge as he avoids it easily.
Jorge throws a combination. Amarela tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Amarela fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jorge, pushing him back against the cage.
Jorge struggles to land a body shot inside as Amarela controls his hands.
Jorge has hold of one of Amarela's legs. Amarela is fighting the takedown attempt but Jorge gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Amarela not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Amarela preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jorge throws a big right hand that misses.
Jorge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jorge is working Amarela over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Amarela wants to get up but he can't break Jorge's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jorge had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Amarela defends it easily.
Jorge is trying to keep Amarela in close.
Jorge wants to improve his position but instead Amarela has moved into half guard.
Amarela content to control rather than advance.
Jorge tries to roll over but Amarela keeps him under control.
Amarela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jorge on the ground.

Amarela is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jorge is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Abelinha Amarela just wasn't active enough.
Jorge shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amarela sprawls well. Amarela wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jorge gets slowly back to his feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jorge is defended easily by Amarela.
Abelinha Amarela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiago Jorge.
Jorge moves into range and clinches up with Amarela.
Jorge is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Amarela gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Amarela is trying to maintain a safe position but Jorge gets an underhook and turns Amarela into the cage.
Jorge has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Amarela avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Amarela throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jorge blocks it with crossed arms.
Amarela's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Amarela tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jorge swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jorge thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Amarela's head.

Jorge wants to free his trapped foot but Amarela is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jorge slips a nice elbow through Amarela's hands, connecting with Amarela's forehead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jorge seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Amarela does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jorge.
Jorge shoots in but no luck this time.

Jorge swats away the attempt to clinch by Amarela.
Jorge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jorge gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jorge controls Amarela momentarily but Amarela frees himself.
Jorge is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jorge drops an elbow to the side of Amarela's head.

Jorge throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jorge is taking a breather. Amarela says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Amarela is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jorge sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Amarela's guard.
Amarela is looking to control Jorge's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amarela avoid being mounted?
Jorge is trying to control the action in half guard but Amarela is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

It looks like Abelinha Amarela has been cut.
Jorge postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Amarela looks a forlorn figure.
Amarela on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Amarela tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jorge lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
