Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Slick McFavortie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slick McFavortie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Hill! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill tries to keep at a distance but McFavortie has taken the fight into the clinch. Hill is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Hill keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McFavortie's efforts to push away. Hill has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McFavortie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hill drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hill is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hill gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, McFavortie regains guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hillis looking to pass into half guard but McFavortie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McFavortie is in guard. McFavortie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McFavortie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hill is pulling down on McFavortie's head. It's preventing any offense from McFavortie, at least for the moment. Hill pushes McFavortie off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from McFavortie. Those never looked like landing. Hill closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McFavortie tries to circle away but Hill has him pinned against the cage. McFavortie is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hill is keeping busy. McFavortie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hill gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hill lands a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill throwing strikes but missing. Hill passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hill in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Hill in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. McFavortie throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Hill gets the takedown into side control. Hill tries to advance to mount but can't. McFavortie is breathing heavily. Hill is working McFavortie over with some ground and pound from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hill cracks McFavortie with a big elbow. McFavortie takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hill working the head and body with strikes. Hill working the head and body with strikes. Hill cracks McFavortie with a big right hand but McFavortie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McFavortie avoids it really well and circles away. McFavortie throws a nice looking combination but Hill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hill shoots in for a takedown but McFavortie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Slick McFavortie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Slick McFavortie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Hill. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hill is defended easily by McFavortie. McFavortie is looking to clinch. Slick McFavortie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McFavortie fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hill looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hill sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McFavortie defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill moves into full mount! McFavortie won't be happy about that! Hill lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McFavortie is trying to stand up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hill is landing with some decent strikes but McFavortie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hill with a couple of short strikes. Hill scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hill with good strikes from the mount here! Hill is standing up, even though he is in mount. McFavortie tries to bum rush Hill with a series of wild strikes but Hill uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A momentary lapse in concentration from McFavortie enables Hill to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McFavortie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hill is pushing down on McFavortie's leg trying to pass to half guard. McFavortie is fighting to maintain full guard but Hill has managed to sneak the leg through. Hill scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hill lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hill lands a big shot. Hill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hill slips a nice elbow through McFavortie's hands, connecting with McFavortie's forehead. Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McFavortie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hill winds up and cracks McFavortie with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hill seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hill lands strikes from half guard. McFavortie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hill. Hill tries to pass to full mount but McFavortie defends it. Hill working over McFavortie with some ground and pound. McFavortie looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ground and pound from Hill. Hill is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for McFavortie! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hill working McFavortie over with strikes here. McFavortie tries to reverse the position but Hill maintains control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hill with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McFavortie is trying to defend but Hill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. McFavortie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hill. Joe Hill has got the better of the ground game so far. Hill is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McFavortie is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
