Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Archer Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Gatho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatho comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 666 - Bomba! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, Archer Christian! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ben Gatho! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christian tries for a takedown but Gatho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Christian connects with a looping right hand.
Gatho throws a shot from downtown. Christian moves away and avoids it. A good leg kick by Gatho. Gatho lands a jab to Christian's midsection. A bone on bone clash there as Gatho blocks the leg kick.
Christian walks into a left hand. Gatho checks a leg kick. Gatho avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Christian throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gatho. Christian dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gatho. That did some damage! Christian throws a nice outside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gatho slips a jab and a cross from Christian.
Gatho throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Christian on the side of the head. Gatho slips under a jab. Gatho avoids a low kick by using good footwork. An inside leg kick lands from Gatho. Christian fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gatho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gatho waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Christian. Gatho throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gatho lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gatho's jab looks to have found its range, popping Christian under the eye. Christian throws a solid leg kick but Gatho takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Christian. A clash of legs there as Christian blocks the low kick. Christian attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A left lands for Christian. Christian wants to land a leg kick but Gatho is out of range. Christian misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Gatho counters with a single leg into guard. Christian didn't expect that. Christian wants to sweep but no luck. Christian pulls Gatho in close to his closed guard and prevents Gatho from doing any damage or advancing position. Gatho stopping the sweep attempt from Christian. Gatho throwing strikes from guard but Christian blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christian managing to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We're going to have a standup here because Archer Christian wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gatho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Christian is pulling down on Gatho's head. It's preventing any offense from Gatho, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gatho postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gatho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Christian is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Christian looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gatho has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Christian is proving hard to escape from. Gatho throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christian wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We're going to have a standup here because Archer Christian wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Christian shoots in and gets a takedown into Gatho's guard. Gatho looking for a sweep. Not yet Gatho, not yet. Gatho pushes a forearm under Christian's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Christian is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ben Gatho! Ben Gatho retains his middleweight title! Ben Gatho decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
