Williams lands a head shot.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Williams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Simons III. That did some damage!
Simons III shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Williams is looking to slow Simons III down with leg kicks.
Simons III slips a straight right by Williams.
Williams avoids the head kick by Simons III.
Williams wants to land a leg kick but Simons III is out of range.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simons III moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Williams dips to his left and cracks Simons III with an uppercut!
Simons III shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but Simons III finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
