Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrei Koslov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timur Rod is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrei Koslov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Rod! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koslov misses with a leg kick and Rod counters with a nice leg kick. Rod gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Koslov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Koslov content to control rather than advance. Koslov stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Koslov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rod's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Koslov stands up and waves to Rod to follow him. Koslov throws a body kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rod takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rod scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Rod looks gassed! Koslov gets a double leg takedown into Rod's guard. Koslov drops back looking for a leg! Rod is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rod manages to kick Koslov off! Koslov jumps back into Rod's guard. Koslov landing some decent shots from guard. Koslov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Koslov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koslov scoring with punches to the head and body. Koslov controls from within his opponent's guard. Koslov advances position into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koslov takes a little break here. Rod wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Koslov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rod for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koslov working the ground and pound from side control. A lull in the action here as Koslov stalls from top position. Koslov decides to stand back up. Koslov steps back and let's Rod get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koslov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rod's half guard. Koslov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Koslov gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Koslov throws a leg kick but Rod moved away. Koslov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rod manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koslov advances to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrei Koslov dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rod gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Koslov stands up over Rod, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Koslov gets to his feet. Rod looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A nice combination there by Rod.
Koslov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koslov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Koslov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koslov working the ground and pound from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koslov cracks Rod with an elbow. That is naaassty. Rod is breathing heavily. Rod takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koslov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Koslov decides to stand back up. Koslov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rod tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Koslov is in Rod's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koslov passes Rod's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Koslov in particular looking to stall. Koslov looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Koslov trying to control the pace. Rod is in trouble now - Koslov has advanced to mount! Koslov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koslov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rod.
Koslov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. An inside leg kick from Koslov misses. Koslov throws a head kick but Rod moves out of range.
Koslov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rod manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Koslov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rod can do to turn this around? Koslov passes into half guard. Koslov stands up out of the half guard. Koslov shoots in and gets a takedown into Rod's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koslov stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Excellent takedown into side control there by Koslov. Koslov moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koslov works to advance to full mount. Rod defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Koslov controlling his opponent. Koslov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrei Koslov dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Koslov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rod throws a nice looking combination but Koslov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rod looks to clinch and Koslov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Koslov winds up and cracks Rod with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Koslov is trying to work for a kimura but Rod is defending well.
Koslov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Koslov working Rod over with strikes. Rod takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Koslov looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Koslov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adrei Koslov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Adrei Koslov just wasn't active enough. Koslov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Koslov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Koslov works his way into full mount! Koslov lands a big elbow. Rod working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Koslov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rod to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rod shrugs it off. Koslov controlling the pace for now. Koslov connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

And that's the end of the fight! Adrei Koslov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Koslov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
