PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Icaro Asas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Large Boner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asas is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boner has his takedown stuffed
and Asas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boner looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Asas throws out a powerful jab.
Boner slips a straight right by Asas.
Large Boner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asas throws a hook to the side of Boner's head but Boner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Boner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Asas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Asas doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Boner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Asas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boner has managed to get both his arms back between Asas's legs - danger averted.

Asas has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Boner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Asas has tightened it up now! Boner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
