Hughes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Watson sprawls well. Watson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hughes gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Watson pushes Hughes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hughes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
