PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Horace Buckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trans Ite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Trans Ite enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Horace Buckle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trans Ite!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckle throws a right hand that Ite ducks under and follows up with a left that Ite also avoids with ease.
Ite tries to clinch up.

Buckle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Buckle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Buckle lands a right hook to the body.
Ite closes the distance and clinches up with Buckle, looking for a takedown. Ite pushes Buckle against the cage but Buckle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ite has a takedown stuffed.
Ite changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buckle tries to avoid it but Ite manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buckle to the ground. Buckle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horace Buckle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trans Ite.
Buckle throws a head kick but Ite moves out of range.

Ite gets caught napping as Buckle dives in and scores a takedown. Ite manages to retain guard.
Buckle controls from within his opponent's guard.

Ite has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Buckle is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ite.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Buckle takes a little break here. Ite wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Buckle tries to move to mount but Ite blocks the move with his legs.
Buckle controlling the position.
Ite is looking to regain half guard here but Buckle keeps moving and retains side control.

Ite is trying to escape the position but Buckle is controlling the position.
Ite is looking for a sweep.

Buckle decides to stand back up. Buckle steps back and let's Ite get back to his feet.

Ite bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Buckle sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Buckle trying to hold on to Ite's head to control him but Ite postures up.
Buckle is looking for a sweep. Ite is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ite is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Buckle manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ite postures up.
Buckle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ite looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ite makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ite.
Buckle engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Buckle stands and steps away. Ite gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ite misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ite fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Buckle avoids it really well and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Buckle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horace Buckle dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Buckle cracks Ite with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ite tries a head kick but it misses.
Buckle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Buckle displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ite closes the distance but Buckle moves to the side

and Buckle counters by moving into the clinch.

Buckle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown by Ite or perhaps it was just good defense by Buckle which made him look bad.
Ite shoots in but Buckle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Buckle drives through with a takedown into guard.

Buckle gets to his feet. Ite looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Buckle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Ite tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Buckle counters with a series of strikes. Ite will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ite tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horace Buckle is winning the standup battle so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ite is defended easily by Buckle.
Horace Buckle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trans Ite.
Ite is breathing heavily.
A jab from Buckle does it's job there.
Horace Buckle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Buckle avoids the head kick by Ite.
Buckle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Buckle throws a quick inside leg kick.

Buckle lands a big head kick that sends Ite tumbling to the mat! Buckle takes a step backwards and waves Ite back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ite is rocked!

It looks like Trans Ite has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Buckle grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Ite takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Buckle cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
