With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Konrad Kurze!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurze looks to land a combination but Green avoids it well.
Kurze misses with a left hand

and Green counters with a shoot takedown. Kurze fights it but they end up in guard.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Kurze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green with a flurry of punches that miss.
Green will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Green postures up in Kurze's guard and throws a big left but Kurze blocks it.
Kurze controls Green momentarily but Green frees himself.
Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kurze swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kurze is trying to keep Green in close.
Green throws a big right hand that misses.
Green postures up.
Green chips away with some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Green got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kurze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Green has managed to get both his arms back between Kurze's legs - danger averted.

Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kurze is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kurze is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Green is working Kurze over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Green's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Kurze is working an open guard so Green takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kurze looks to land a combination but Green avoids it well.
Kurze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Green was well out of range. Poor timing from Kurze.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


Kurze is rocked!
Konrad Kurze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Green misses with a straight right.
Kurze is still on wobbly legs! Can Green finish him?
OH! Kurze has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Green smells blood and charges in for the finish! Green unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Kurze sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mr Green!
Mr Green is the new featherweight champion!
Mr Green really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that GTI - 1337 sponsors VERSUS logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
