Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Borne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tran comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Theme from Mortal Kombat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Borne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Tran! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borne forces Tran back against the cage and clinches. Tran leaning against his opponent.
Tran tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Borne keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tran's efforts to push away. Tran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tran has managed to clinch.
Tran is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Borne is defending well for now. Tran looks to throw an elbow but misses. Tran throws a knee to the head but misses.
Tran misses with a knee strike.
Borne dodges an elbow strike from Tran.
Borne is trying to break free. Tran with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Borne bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tran has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tran's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tran forces Borne back against the cage and clinches. A nice glancing elbow lands by Tran. The referee is keeping an eye on Tran - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tran turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tran manages to end up in side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tran throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Borne works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Borne keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tran looks to land a strike but Borne avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Tran with a flurry of punches that miss. Tran trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Borne is trying to control the position but Tran postures up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tran missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Borne trying to control the position here. Tran trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borne keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully. Tran is looking to advance position but Borne has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Borne is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tran can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Borne swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tran is now in Borne's guard. A big mistake from Borne there, giving up the dominant position! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tran has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Borne is proving hard to escape from. Borne keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tran wants to stand but Borne has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Borne working a defensive guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Tran dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Borne is looking to clinch but Tran is avoiding it.
Tran gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tran has clasped his hands together around Borne's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Borne gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Tran with the ground and pound but Borne uses the opportunity to regain guard. Tran wants to control from the top but Borne keeps moving. Borne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tran's guard. Borne postures up in Tran's guard and throws a big left but Tran blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Borne. Borne looking to pass the guard. Tran is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Borne is controlling him. Tran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Borne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Borne tries to free his leg and advance position but Tran is retaining full guard. Borne pushes down on Tran's leg and manages to get into half guard. Borne trying to control the action but Tran is working from the bottom. Borne not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borne trying to pass the guard but Tran defending well. Borne is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tran sees it coming and defends easily. Borne is trying to control the action in half guard but Tran is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borne has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Borne looking to secure an arm triangle but Tran defends it well. Borne tries to control but Tran wriggling away. Borne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tran in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borne is working for a guillotine from mount but Tran frees his head quite easily.
Borne trying to control but Tran is having none of it. Tran holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Borne tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Borne wants to control the pace but Tran is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Borne dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Tran closes the distance and clinches. Tran tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Tran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Tran works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Borne pulls Tran in to control the position. Borne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Borne keeping full guard, as Tran tries to pass. Borne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borne is working hard here to advance position. Tran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Borne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Borne is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tran is trying to stand back up but Borne is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round. Borne tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tran knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Borne connects with a nice short shot to Tran's temple. Borne moves nicely into side control. Borne has an Americana. Tran didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Borne is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Borne hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
