Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bayden Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rudov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood's entrance music is kick my ass......rehab. A fine choice. Bayden Wood could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Timur Rudov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bayden Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Rudov! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rudov with a poor takedown and Wood cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Timur Rudov has been cut. Rudov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Rudov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rudov shoots in but no luck this time. Bayden Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rudov. Wood is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wood swinging wildly here.

Timur Rudov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wood wants it to stay on the feet. Wood scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Rudov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wood as he jumps to the side. Wood throws a series of punches but Rudov moves out of range. Wood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rudov throws a hook but Wood avoids it easily. Wood fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rudov sprawls well initially but Wood persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Wood is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rudov has managed to free his arm - good work. Wood is pressing down on Rudov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rudov is holding on for now. Rudov trying to control from the bottom.
Wood seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Wood is looking to take a break and control but Rudov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rudov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wood's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wood's back! Wood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wood is trying to remain composed but Rudov is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Rudov lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Rudov.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wood holding both Rudov 's hands and preventing any damage. Wood is trapped and Rudov is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Rudov is looking for a choke. Wood gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Wood manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Rudov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wood passes Rudov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rudov is looking for a sweep. Wood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wood seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rudov is looking to improve his position.
Wood is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rudov is looking for a sweep. Wood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wood drops an elbow to the side of Rudov's head. Rudov tries to roll over but Wood keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wood wants to pass to mount but Rudov is defending the position. Rudov pushes Wood off and gets back to his feet. Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rudov. Wood fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rudov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Good exchange - Wood coming out on top. Rudov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wood pushes Rudov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rudov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Rudov is trying to control the action in half guard but Wood is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wood pushes Rudov off looking to stand but Rudov dives back in and keeps control.
Rudov is looking to advance position but Wood won't allow it. Wood avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rudov. Rudov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rudov seems to be looking for submissions.
Wood is trying to stand up here but Rudov is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bayden Wood will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Timur Rudov's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rudov is looking to score with low kicks. Rudov fails with a takedown attempt. Wood connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rudov's hands. Rudov tries for a takedown but Wood sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A combination from Wood does no damage. Rudov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wood sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rudov somewhat. Bayden Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rudov. Some wild striking there from Wood.
Wood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wood throws a series of punches but Rudov avoids them all with ease. Rudov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wood might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wood's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Poor strikes thrown by Rudov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Rudov lands a nice shot to the head. Rudov working for a guillotine from mount but Wood is in no mood to give up. Wood is trying to stand up. Rudov in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rudov cracks Wood with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rudov landing shots from mount. Wood regains half guard. Wood is looking to escape. Wood keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wood wants to get back to his feet.
Rudov wants to free his trapped foot but Wood is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wood is trying to stand up here but Rudov is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rudov throws a strike but Wood avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Wood keeping full guard, as Rudov tries to pass. Rudov throws an elbow that misses. Wood uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rudov's guard. Nice move by Wood! Rudov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wood postures up.
Wood works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rudov manages to escape and get back to his feet! Wood misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rudov. Rudov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wood counters with a nice uppercut. Rudov is breathing heavily. Wood throws a right hand that Rudov ducks under and follows up with a left that Rudov also avoids with ease. Wood's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wood duly obliges. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rudov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wood's waist but Wood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rudov off to one side. Wood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rudov fails with a takedown attempt. Wood closes the distance and lands a one-two. Bayden Wood is winning the standup battle so far. Rudov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A punch combination from Wood misses. No joy there for Wood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rudov misses with a takedown attempt - Wood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wood stalks Rudov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rudov's face. Rudov staggers backwards, shaken. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wood scores with a one two! Rudov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Rudov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rudov closes the distance and clinches up with Wood, looking for a takedown. Rudov pushes Wood against the cage but Wood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Rudov! He's out on his feet! Wood rushes in and drops Rudov with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bayden Wood! Bayden Wood tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
