Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafe Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antoine Chamakh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafe Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antoine Chamakh!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chamakh tries to avoid it but Hernandez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chamakh to the ground. Chamakh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chamakh tries to close the distance and clinch but Hernandez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown but Chamakh shows good takedown defense.

Hernandez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chamakh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chamakh pushes Hernandez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hernandez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hernandez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Hernandez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hernandez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chamakh to see if he's OK.

Hernandez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chamakh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hernandez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hernandez lands a big shot there that rocks Chamakh but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hernandez is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Chamakh has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hernandez connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Chamakh is squirming around, avoiding Hernandez's attempts to control the action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hernandez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chamakh tries to hold on but Hernandez postures up.

Chamakh wants to hold on but Hernandez pushes him away.

Hernandez quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Hernandez but it's paid off an Chamakh is forced to tap! Nice work by Hernandez.
