Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ozzy Erwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Arnel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Craig Arnel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erwin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Arnel. That did some damage!
The fight stays on the outside here - Erwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Arnel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Erwin!

Arnel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Erwin is trying to stand up.
Erwin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Erwin tries to reverse the position but Arnel maintains control.

Arnel is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Erwin is defending well though. Arnel let's go of the attempt for now.

Arnel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Erwin just stands there and leans against the cage.

Erwin keeps control of Arnel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Arnel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Erwin walks away with a smile on his face. Arnel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Arnel fails to land the takedown.
No luck for Erwin with that takedown attempt.
Erwin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Arnel swats away the attempt to clinch by Erwin.

Erwin closes the distance and pushes Arnel back into the cage.

Erwin scores with a knee to the head.

Arnel takes a knee to the side of the body.
Arnel is trying to pull guard but Erwin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Erwin misses with a knee to the head.
Erwin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Arnel blocks it with crossed arms.
Arnel is trying to break the clinch but Erwin is controlling him.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Erwin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Arnel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Arnel counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Arnel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Erwin - the referee stops the clock and Arnel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Erwin. Arnel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Erwin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arnel.
Erwin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arnel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Erwin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arnel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Erwin closes the distance and pushes Arnel back into the cage.
Erwin is pressed up against the cage. Arnel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Erwin down to the mat. Erwin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Arnel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Erwin.
Erwin wants to clinch.
Erwin tries to clinch but Arnel moves out of range.
Erwin is looking to clinch but Arnel is avoiding it.
Erwin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arnel as he jumps to the side.

A nice leg kick lands there from Arnel.

and Arnel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Erwin's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ozzy Erwin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Erwin pushes a forearm under Arnel's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Arnel is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
