5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Karzamoff! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Koko Beware! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beware throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karzamoff's waist but Karzamoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beware off to one side. Karzamoff lands a head shot. Karzamoff swinging wilding here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Karzamoff looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Karzamoff fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Beware is rocked! Beware shoots in looking for a takedown. Karzamoff tries to sprawl out of it but Beware keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karzamoff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Beware is still on wobbly legs! Can Karzamoff finish him? Beware shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Karzamoff as he jumps to the side. Sergei Karzamoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koko Beware. Beware fails with the takedown. Beware seems to have recovered his senses. Karzamoff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beware. Beware tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karzamoff paws at him with a jab and circles away. Beware avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Beware shoots in but Karzamoff avoids the takedown attempt easily. Karzamoff misses with a few strikes there.
Beware fails to land the takedown. Karzamoff closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Beware manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Karzamoff wants to get up but he can't break Beware's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Beware throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beware is looking for a triangle here but Karzamoff uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Beware tries to improve position but can't. Karzamoff just content to control the position. Karzamoff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Karzamoff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Beware is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beware wants to improve his position but Karzamoff is controlling well.
Karzamoff wants to stand but Beware has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Beware gets back to full guard.
Karzamoff has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beware is proving hard to escape from. Beware has an active guard here but Karzamoff has managed to pass into half guard.
Karzamoff prevents Beware from improving his position. Beware is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Karzamoff pulls his head out easily. Beware looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Karzamoff wants to get back to his feet.
Beware is looking to get back to full guard here but Karzamoff has managed to pass to side control instead. Karzamoff working away from the top, dropping strikes. Karzamoff stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Karzamoff throws a right and a left that Beware avoids nicely. Karzamoff fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Karzamoff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beware. Beware tries to clinch but Karzamoff moves away letting Karzamoff counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beware misses with a takedown attempt and Karzamoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Karzamoff follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Beware was out before he hit the floor.
