Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Petkovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hulk Petkovich has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hulk Petkovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petkovich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Davis shoots and misses

so Petkovich counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Petkovich missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Petkovich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Petkovich is looking to stand up but Davis won't let him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petkovich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Petkovich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Davis has his foot on Petkovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petkovich works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Petkovich drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Petkovich jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Petkovich tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.

Davis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Petkovich escapes and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Davis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Petkovich is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Davis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Petkovich's back instead.
Davis doesn't have the hooks in and Petkovich manages to turn into his guard.

Davis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Petkovich!
Petkovich regains half guard.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Petkovich wants to control but Davis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hulk Petkovich dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Davis swings around for an armbar but Petkovich sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Davis's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Petkovich is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Davis still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Davis has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close second round but I would say that Hulk Petkovich will probably get the nod.

Davis wants to advance to full mount but Petkovich doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Petkovich manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Petkovich in his guard.

I would just about give that final round to Randy Davis.
I think Petkovich has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
