Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Hex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Coton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hex comes into the arena with Genesis - Justice blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Coton throws a body kick that misses.
Coton shoots in for a takedown but Hex shows good takedown defense.
Hex fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hex connects with a nasty looking knee right to Coton's face.
It looks like Jamie Coton has been cut.
Coton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hex fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jonah Hex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Coton.
Hex tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Coton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Coton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coton thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hex if he has to take too many more of those.
Coton throws the kick towards the body but Hex avoids it.

Coton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hex.

Coton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Coton counters with an inside leg kick.

and Coton counters with a nice leg kick.
Coton darts in and clinches Hex up against the cage.
Coton struggles to land a body shot inside as Hex controls his hands.
Hex content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Coton scores with a hook to the body.
Coton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hex fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Coton lands with a hook. Hex tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hex takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Coton shoots in and gets a takedown into Hex's guard.
Coton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hex tries to clinch there but Coton circles away.
Coton shoots for a double leg takedown but Hex sprawls well. He's pushed Coton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hex closes the distance looking to clinch
and Coton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Coton ducks under a wild hook from Hex.
Hex gets caught napping as Coton dives in and scores a takedown. Hex manages to retain guard.
Hex keeping moving, preventing Coton from controlling successfully.

Coton wants to pass the guard but Hex is keeping the position.

Coton stands and steps away. Hex gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Coton misses with a body punch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hex just misses with a elbow thrown towards Coton's brow.
Hex throws an elbow but it misses.

Coton lands with a right to the head.
Hex misses with a knee strike.
Hex taking a breather.
Hex looking to throw knees to the head but Coton is blocking nicely.
Hex tries a knee to the head but Coton blocks it.
Coton struggles to land a body shot inside as Hex controls his hands.
Coton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hex just stands there and leans against the cage.
Coton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Coton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hex smiles and moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Coton shoots in looking for a takedown but Hex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Hex counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hex.

Hex stalling in the clinch but Coton improves position.
Coton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Coton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Coton has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hex should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Coton has tightened it up now! Hex should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Jamie Coton thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
