Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elbow Killa! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Killa enables Kimura to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Killa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Killa looking for a sweep. Not yet Killa, not yet. Kimura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Killa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Killa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Killa! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kimura is trying to get back to half guard. Killa tries to score with some ground and pound. Kimura controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Killa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kimura is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kimura is trying to get back to half guard. Kimura sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kimura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Killa pulls his head out easily. Kimura looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Killa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kimura manages to get to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimura has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Killa doesn't defend quickly enough and Kimura has managed to lock this one up! Can Killa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kimura on a fantastic submission victory.
