Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marion Polk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stefan Pruvhe! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polk on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pruvhe bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Polk's head. A big left from Pruvhe misses. Pruvhe throws a right and a left that both miss. Polk uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pruvhe. Polk tries to clinch up and Pruvhe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Polk moves to clinch but Pruvhe breaks away letting Pruvhe counter with a right hand. Pruvhe punishes Polk's body with a nice straight punch. Pruvhe misses with a straight right. Polk closes the distance but Pruvhe moves to the side and Pruvhe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Polk thinking. Pruvhe lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Pruvhe misses with a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Polk darts in trying to clinch and Pruvhe counters with a left to the body. Polk wants to clinch but Pruvhe slips to the side and Pruvhe counters with a right hand to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Pruvhe. Polk darts in trying to clinch and Pruvhe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Polk closes the distance looking to clinch and Pruvhe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pruvhe lands a jab-cross combination. Polk closes the distance but Pruvhe moves to the side and Pruvhe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pruvhe dodges the punch combination from Polk.
Good standup being displayed there by Pruvhe as he connects with a hook. Polk wants to clinch but Pruvhe slips to the side and Pruvhe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Polk pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pruvhe lands a body shot.
Polk tries to clinch up and Pruvhe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Polk slips a jab and a cross from Pruvhe.

Oh Polk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Polk tries to clinch up and Pruvhe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Polk thinking. Polk seems to have got his legs back now. Pruvhe darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Polk darts in trying to clinch and Polk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Pruvhe. Polk takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Polk tries to clinch but Pruvhe moves away and Pruvhe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Polk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Polk moves to clinch but Pruvhe breaks away and Pruvhe counters with a right hand to the body. Polk swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Polk checks a leg kick nicely. Polk tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pruvhe counters with a stiff right hand. Polk darts in trying to clinch and Pruvhe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Polk tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pruvhe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Polk darts in trying to clinch and Pruvhe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Polk wants to clinch but Pruvhe slips to the side and Pruvhe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pruvhe displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Pruvhe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Polk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pruvhe. Polk tries to clinch and Pruvhe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pruvhe throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Polk colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Pruvhe as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Polk is left battered and dazed whilst Pruvhe and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stefan Pruvhe! Stefan Pruvhe tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
