Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raoul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheick Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pillz. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cheick Kongo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

26 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cheick Kongo! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kongo tries to work over Duke's front leg with a kick but Duke checks it. Sloppy strikes from Kongo. Those never looked like landing. Kongo scores with a leg kick.

and Duke finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Cheick Kongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duke is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sloppy strikes from Duke. Those never looked like landing. Duke lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Duke looks to land a body kick but Kongo moved away. Kongo scores with a push kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kongo thows a leg kick but Duke checks it and Duke counters with a big head kick but Kongo shrugs it off. Kongo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Duke darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kongo throws a lazy head kick and Duke counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kongo throws a low kick, looking for Duke's leg but Duke calmly moves out of range. Kongo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Duke.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kongo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Duke tries to land a front kick but Kongo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kongo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kongo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duke moves into the clinch. Duke lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kongo or not. Kongo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kongo throws a chopping leg kick but Duke manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kongo takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kongo tries to score with a low kick but Duke moves his leg out of the way. Duke avoids the head kick by Kongo.
A low kick from Kongo misses and Duke holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Duke landing knees to the head.
It looks like Cheick Kongo has been cut. Duke utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Kongo looks gassed! The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice elbow from Duke. The referee is keeping an eye on Duke - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Duke presses Kongo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Duke lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Duke softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Duke creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kongo's defenses. Duke lands a good knee to the midsection. Kongo won't want to take too many of those. Kongo takes an elbow to the forehead. Duke is pushing Kongo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Duke lands with a light punch inside.

That has opened up Cheick Kongo's cut even more. Duke lands a shot to the body. Duke lands an elbow inside that Kongo shrugs off.
Kongo is rocked! Duke crunches a lovely knee into Kongo's ribcage. Kongo is still on wobbly legs! Can Duke finish him? Duke throws a big uppercut that drops Kongo! More strikes from Duke and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kongo lies dazed against the cage as Duke celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raoul Duke! During a confident post fight interview, Raoul Duke thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
