The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taul is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lambert sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Taul pushes Lambert away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lambert gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

and Taul counters with a three punch combo that has Lambert backing up. Lambert nods at Taul to acknowledge the strikes.

Taul feints a jab promting Lambert to slip. Taul then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lambert slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Taul with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lambert to score with a decent uppercut.

Taul tightens his grip and picks Lambert up, before dumping him to the ground. Lambert manages to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taul accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Taul shoots in looking for a takedown. Lambert tries to sprawl out of it but Taul keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lambert manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
