Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirco Nontchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Patton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirco Nontchev! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Patton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nontchev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nontchev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nontchev moves into the clinch. Patton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nontchev uses from the top position. Patton wants to stand but Nontchev is controlling the position. Patton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nontchev controls the pace. Patton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Patton tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nontchev tries to free his leg and advance position but Patton is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patton is trying to control the position but Nontchev postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Patton tries to score with a low kick but Nontchev moves his leg out of the way. Nontchev throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nontchev has Patton up against the cage in a clinch.
Patton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nontchev just stands there and leans against the cage. Patton wants to get back to striking at distance but Nontchev won't allow it.
Patton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Patton fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nontchev's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Patton has had enough of the clinch but Nontchev keeps him there for the moment. Patton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nontchev fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nontchev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Patton throws out the jab. Patton lands a body shot.
Patton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nontchev moves in looking to clinch but Patton pushes him off. Patton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Patton thuds a left hand into Nontchev's body. A cross from Patton lands. Excellent takedown into side control there by Patton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nontchev tries to improve position but can't. Nontchev wants to control but Patton postures up. Nontchev is looking for a sweep. Nontchev manages to work his way to half guard, despite Patton's best efforts. Patton is breathing heavily. Nontchev is looking to improve his position.
Patton stands up out of the half guard. Nontchev is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mirco Nontchev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nontchev closes the distance looking to clinch and Patton counters with a straight punch to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patton fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Patton darts in trying to clinch and Nontchev counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Nontchev is trying for a kimura here. Patton looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nontchev wins by kimura!
