Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirco Nontchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nontchev moves into the clinch.
Patton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nontchev uses from the top position.

Patton wants to get back to striking at distance but Nontchev won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nontchev's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Patton has had enough of the clinch but Nontchev keeps him there for the moment.
Patton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nontchev fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Mirco Nontchev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nontchev closes the distance looking to clinch
and Patton counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
