8 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kelvin Redondo! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morales shoots in for a takedown but Redondo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Morales gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Redondo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Morales actively working from the bottom here. Morales tries to kick Redondo off but Redondo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Redondo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Morales looking for submissions off his back. Redondo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Redondo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
