Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Jef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Veal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry Jef had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Larry Jef! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Veal! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Veal misses with a two punch combination.
Veal moves into the clinch. Jef looking to slow down the pace here. Jef is looking for a takedown. Veal stops a takedown attempt from Jef.
Veal lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Larry Jef has been cut. Jef is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Veal is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Jef. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jef tries to throw a body punch but Veal avoids it by throwing Jef back against the cage. Jef is looking to control Veal's arms but Veal gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jef has his back to the cage. Veal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jef uses from the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Veal throwing strikes but Jef uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Veal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jef is proving hard to escape from. Veal passes Jef's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Veal controlling the pace. Jef regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Veal. Veal drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jef looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jef looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jef! Veal is looking to regain half guard here but Jef keeps moving and retains side control. Jef really is a fat lump. Jef is looking to take a break and control but Veal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Veal is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jef wants to stand but Veal has his arm trapped. Veal is looking for a sweep. Jef wants to stand but Veal is controlling his arm. Jef is looking to take a break and control but Veal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Veal pushes Jef away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jef gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. That's four minutes gone in the round. Veal is looking to reverse the position. Jef in side control, throwing shots but Veal defends. Jef trying to control the position but Veal is working away. Veal tries to bench press Jef off him but Jef keeps the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jef trying to control the action but Veal is working from the bottom. Jef working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Benjamin Veal will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Larry Jef's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jef shoots in for a takedown but Veal shows good takedown defense. Jef with a poor takedown and Veal counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jef! Jef is desperately trying to improve his position but Veal has a good base and remains in mount. Veal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jef wants to control but Veal is having none of it. Veal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Jef sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Veal is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Veal in particular looking to stall.

Benjamin Veal has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jef gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Veal to score an easy takedown into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jef is on top in guard.
Veal wants to stand and escape but Jef is having none of it. Jef trying to control the position from guard on top but Veal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Veal seems keen to control Jef's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Veal is working an open guard so Jef takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jef is looking to clinch. Veal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Jef. That's going to take a lot out of him. Veal throws a lazy right hand but Jef sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jef doesn't manage to clinch there - Veal circles away.
Jef throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Veal shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jef is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Veal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Veal's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jef is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Veal defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jef looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Veal taps!
