Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Clary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clary comes into a darkened arena with his song building. E.G.G.M.A.N. by Paul Shortino kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Clary! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers misses with a hook. Clary ducked under it nicely. Clary shoots in for a double leg but Rogers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Clary with a poor takedown so Rogers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rogers tries to free his leg and advance position but Clary is retaining full guard. Clary throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rogers uses it to pass to side control.
Rogers has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Clary! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clary is trying to escape the mount.
Rogers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Clary can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rogers scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Clary?
Clary tries to hold on but Rogers pushes him away. Rogers looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Clary is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Rogers. Clary really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers controlling his opponent. BOOM! Rogers connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns Clary that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rogers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Clary is looking to get to half guard. Rogers lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Rogers with shots to the head and body - Clary looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rogers fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rogers lands a nice shot to the head. Rogers controlling from mount. Rogers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clary tries for a takedown but Rogers circles away easily and Rogers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rogers sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Clary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brian Rogers has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Clary enables Rogers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clary manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers connects with a couple of short punches. Rogers stops Clary from standing up. Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Clary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clary is trying to keep Rogers in close.
Rogers landing some decent shots from guard. Clary is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rogers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Clary can do to turn this around? Rogers with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rogers works a leg free and moves into half guard. Clary wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rogers lands a nice short elbow. Rogers is controlling the pace.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Rogers content just to control the position here. Clary is wriggling around trying to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers controlling from mount. Rogers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ground and pound from Rogers. Clary tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Rogers works his way into side control. Brian Rogers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Clary tries to control but Rogers manages to take his back.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brian Rogers. Clary moves in looking to clinch but Rogers pushes him off. Aaron Clary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers tries to bum rush Clary with a series of wild strikes but Clary uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Clary with a poor takedown letting Rogers counter with a right hand. Clary throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clary moves into the clinch. Rogers is working for takedown but Clary is calmly controlling the position for now. Clary is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Brian Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Clary. Clary takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rogers wants a takedown but no success here.

Clary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Clary shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rogers as he avoids it easily. Rogers misses with a two punch combination.
Clary doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rogers counters with a nice uppercut. Aaron Clary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A telegraphed right hand from Rogers misses the target.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Rogers showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rogers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
