Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brannigan comes to the cage accompanied by Jackyl -- The Lumberjack. The crowd seem to be enjoying Fertit's choice of entrance music: Roots Bloody Roots. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brannigan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brannigan enables Fertit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brannigan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fertit is pressed against the cage. Brannigan pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Fertit! Two more big strikes from Brannigan and Fertit crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Zapp Brannigan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
