Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!This should be a great matchup!

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bones Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Slater! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slater. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones connects with an inside leg kick. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Slater swings away with a body shot that misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Slater misses with a body shot.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones wants to slow Slater down by chopping away at his legs. Jones avoids the body shot from Slater.
Slater moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Slater. Jones lands a nice shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Slater. Slater swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones slips a straight right by Slater. Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Slater misses with a straight left. Slater fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Slater scores with a jab to the body. Slater jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jones ducks under a wild hook from Slater. A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. A jab lands there for Jones. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Slater's shoulder, as Slater tries to avoid the shot. Slater takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Harry Slater has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A leg kick checked by Slater. Jones misses with a kick to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slater just misses with a punch to the body.

and Jones counters with an inside leg kick. Slater closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Slater looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Slater is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Slater passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slater frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jones working to try and regain half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slater with a couple of short strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Slater thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Slater cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Bones Jones will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Harry Slater's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Slater misses with a body shot.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! Slater ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slater. Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slater to score an easy takedown into full guard. Slater is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Slater working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Slater might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Harry Slater has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jones throws a nice inside leg kick. Slater lands a body shot.
Slater wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Slater shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. A looping hook to the body misses from Slater. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jones loads up on a big right hand but Slater slips the punch. Slater lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Slater lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. Slater is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Slater works his way into full mount! Slater avoids the attempt from Jones to control. Jones sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones has hold of Slater's hands but Slater slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Slater passes to side control. Slater working the ground and pound but Jones is defending the strikes. Slater cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty. Sloppy strikes there by Slater. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones on the wrong end of some ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Slater tries to advance to mount but can't. Slater is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones tries to bench press Slater off him but Slater keeps the position. Jones seems a little lost for a moment, as Slater dominates the positioning. Slater tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slater has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones wants to control but Slater postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slater on the ground. Slater trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Slater working the ground and pound but Jones is defending the strikes. Jones is trying to escape the position but Slater is controlling the position. Slater landing strikes. Jones taking a bit of punishment here - Slater scoring with strikes.

Slater goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Slater but great work by Jones. Slater sneaks back into half guard. Slater wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slater holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slater does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
