Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Austin Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landry Saracen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Saracen's choice of entrance music: Bon Jovi - Dead or Alive. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Landry Saracen!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saracen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.
Williams digs a good hook to Saracen's body.

Saracen wants to stand and escape but instead Williams has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Landry Saracen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Williams thuds his right hand into Saracen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Williams throws a looping overhand right but Saracen ducks down to avoid it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Saracen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Saracen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saracen gets slowly back to his feet.

Saracen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Saracen is pressed up against the cage. Williams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Saracen down to the mat. Saracen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Saracen shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Saracen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Saracen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Saracen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Williams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Saracen is in Williams's guard.
Saracen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Saracen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Williams circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Austin Williams will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Williams does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Landry Saracen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Saracen throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily.

Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Saracen closes the distance and clinches up with Williams, looking for a takedown. Saracen pushes Williams against the cage but Williams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Saracen tries to reverse the position but Williams maintains control.

Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
