Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lenny McClean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Rowlans! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClean blocks a low kick nicely. Rowlans fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McClean is out of range. McClean checks a low kick from Rowlans. McClean misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rowlans throws a looping overhand right but McClean ducks down to avoid it. Rowlans misses with an uppercut
and McClean counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McClean swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rowlans pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McClean throws a series of strikes that have Rowlans backpedaling.
Rowlans throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowlans misses with an uppercut
and McClean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rowlans doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Rowlans is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McClean. Rowlans throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McClean counters with a three punch combo that has Rowlans backing up. Rowlans nods at McClean to acknowledge the strikes. Rowlans lands a head shot. McClean jabs Rowlans to the body, keeping him at a distance. Rowlans motions for McClean to come forward. Rowlans throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. McClean checks a low kick from Rowlans.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowlans dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McClean. That did some damage! Rowlans throws a head kick that misses and McClean makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. McClean connects with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rowlans throws an off balance right hand
and McClean counters with a two punch combo. McClean keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Dave Rowlans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClean with a body punch. A glancing blow. Rowlans pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowlans takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rowlans is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rowlans shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. McClean moves out of range of the body kick. Rowlans fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rowlans throws a shot from downtown. McClean moves away and avoids it. Rowlans throws a leg kick which misses McClean's front leg but catches the back leg as McClean tries to avoid it. Rowlans tries to grapple but his opponent circles and McClean counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McClean goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rowlans's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McClean connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rowlans scrambles back to his feet. Rowlans misses with a kick to the body.
Rowlans tries to clinch up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rowlans throws a right hand that misses
and McClean counters with a three punch combo that has Rowlans backing up. Rowlans nods at McClean to acknowledge the strikes. Rowlans just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rowlans misses with a lunging right hand
and McClean counters with a one-two to the body. McClean with a hook. Lenny McClean is winning the standup battle so far. Rowlans misses with a looping left. McClean uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rowlans. A big right from Rowlans misses. McClean ducks under a wild hook from Rowlans. Rowlans lands a head shot. Rowlans turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

McClean lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McClean. Rowlans scores with a hook. Rowlans wants to clinch up but McClean keeps it at a distance. A swing and a miss from Rowlans. Rowlans has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rowlans there as he acknowledges the shot.

and McClean counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rowlans thinking. Rowlans misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McClean throws a series of strikes that have Rowlans backpedaling.
Rowlans rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McClean counters with a straight right hand. Rowlans throws a leg kick but McClean sees it coming and moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. McClean is trying to break the clinch but Rowlans has him pressed against the cage. Rowlans tries a body shot but McClean blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McClean breaks the clinch.
McClean throws a combination. Rowlans tries to block but a couple of punches get through. McClean avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rowlans fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

McClean comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Rowlans tries to clinch but McClean moves away and McClean counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and McClean counters with a right hand to the body. McClean dips to his left and cracks Rowlans with an uppercut! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McClean scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McClean lands a jab. McClean throws a series of strikes that have Rowlans backpedaling.
Rowlans is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McClean misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lenny McClean dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and McClean counters with a straight right hand. Rowlans throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lenny McClean is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McClean connects with a nice looking jab.

and McClean counters with a three punch combo that has Rowlans backing up. Rowlans nods at McClean to acknowledge the strikes. Rowlans is still on wobbly legs! Can McClean finish him? Rowlans misses with an uppercut. McClean saw that one coming. Rowlans seems to have recovered his senses. Rowlans fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rowlans takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClean connects with the punch. Rowlans's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rowlans duly obliges. Rowlans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McClean scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Rowlans tried to score with a low kick but McClean checks it. Rowlans throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting McClean counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowlans tries to move into range but McClean moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Rowlans misses with a left hand enabling McClean to counter with a crisp jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rowlans throws a poor cross that misses
and McClean counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rowlans rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McClean counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rowlans misses with a hook
and McClean counters with a huge left! Rowlans is in big trouble! He's backing up but McClean isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rowlans from any more damage. A dominating finish by McClean!
