Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Zimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Nwachukwu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Nwachukwu! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nwachukwu clinches. Nwachukwu with an attempt at a knee that misses.

It looks like Vitor Zimmer has been cut. Nwachukwu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Zimmer is trying to drag Nwachukwu to the mat but Nwachukwu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Nwachukwu comes over the top with an elbow. Nwachukwu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zimmer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nwachukwu - the referee stops the clock and Zimmer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nwachukwu. Nwachukwu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nwachukwu keeps the fight on the outside. Zimmer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nwachukwu's half guard. Zimmer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nwachukwu keeps working. Nwachukwu is controlling Zimmer's trapped leg to prevent Zimmer from advancing to side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Zimmer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Nwachukwu is trying to stick to Zimmer's back but Zimmer is turning into Nwachukwu. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nwachukwu's guard. Nwachukwu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Zimmer tumbling to the mat - Nwachukwu dives into Zimmer's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zimmer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nwachukwu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nwachukwu passes Zimmer's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nwachukwu is looking for a kimura but Zimmer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nwachukwu to get the leverage. And that's the end of the fight! John Nwachukwu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nwachukwu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
