Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Haggen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Karwoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karwoski missing with a left hand there. Haggen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Karwoski misses with a straight left.
Karwoski takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Horrible takedown by Haggen or perhaps it was just good defense by Karwoski which made him look bad.
Haggen closes the distance and clinches up with Karwoski, looking for a takedown. Haggen pushes Karwoski against the cage but Karwoski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Haggen gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Haggen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Haggen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Haggen is looking for a kimura but Karwoski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Haggen to get the leverage.

Haggen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Karwoski to regain full guard.
Haggen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Haggen prevents Karwoski from getting back to his feet.

Karwoski wriggles free and stands up.
Haggen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Haggen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Haggen tries to close the distance and clinch but Karwoski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Karwoski is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Haggen is defending well for now.

Haggen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Karwoski throws a big shot that misses.
Karwoski throws a shot from downtown. Haggen moves away and avoids it.

Haggen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Haggen misses with a takedown attempt - Karwoski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Haggen tries to move into range but Karwoski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Haggen is breathing heavily.

Karwoski sends Haggen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Karwoski is motioning to the referee to let Haggen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Haggen gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Karwoski points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Haggen wakes up just in time to hear Karwoski thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
