Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zak Houk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzy Washburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zak Houk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ozzy Washburn! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washburn moves into the clinch. Washburn drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Washburn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Houk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Washburn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Houk just stands there and leans against the cage. Zak Houk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ozzy Washburn. Houk wants to break free but Washburn has control.
Washburn jumps into guard, dragging Houk to the mat.
Houk trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Washburn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Houk stopping the sweep attempt from Washburn. Washburn has a closed guard, preventing Houk from standing up. Washburn seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Houk tries to stand but Washburn is controlling from the bottom. Washburn has his hands on Houk's head, controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ozzy Washburn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Houk tries to clinch up. Washburn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Houk drags the fight down to the ground.
Washburn stands and steps away. Houk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houk tries to clinch up but Washburn circles away and keeps his distance. Zak Houk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Houk darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Washburn is holding on to half guard well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Houk tries to pass to full mount but Washburn defends it. Washburn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Washburn. Washburn is controlling Houk's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Washburn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ozzy Washburn wasn't active enough on the ground. Houk throws a nice looking combination but Washburn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Houk closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Washburn quickly recovers to half guard. Houk wants to take a breather but Washburn is having none of it. Washburn preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Washburn wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Washburn manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Washburn seems keen to control Houk's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Washburn's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Houk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Houk lands in his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Houk is fighting to break Washburn's control of his arms but Washburn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Washburn wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Washburn has Houk pulled in close to control his posture. Washburn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Houk manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ozzy Washburn will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Washburn throws a right and a left that both miss. Washburn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Houk's sensitive parts. Houk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Washburn can pounce on him.
Houk tries to close the distance and clinch but Washburn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Houk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Houk wants it to stay on the feet. Houk is looking to clinch but Washburn is avoiding it.
Houk tries to clinch up and Washburn counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Washburn manages to break the clinch.
Washburn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Houk as he jumps to the side. Washburn shoots in for a takedown but Houk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Zak Houk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ozzy Washburn. Washburn clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Washburn darts in and clinches Houk up against the cage. Houk is trying to push Washburn away but Washburn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Houk wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Washburn is trying to force a seperation but Houk has the dominant position. Washburn is working for takedown but Houk is calmly controlling the position for now. Houk successfully pulls guard.
Houk wants to stand up but Washburn is controlling him. Washburn advances to half guard. Washburn scoring with strikes to the body and head. Washburn performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houk looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Houk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Washburn pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Houk won't allow Washburn to pass to mount. Washburn performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houk wants to get back to his feet.
Houk is in trouble now - Washburn has advanced to mount! Houk stops Washburn from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Washburn controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Houk is working to get back to half guard.

Washburn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ozzy Washburn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Houk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Washburn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Houk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Houk tries to break free but Washburn pushes him back against the cage. Washburn tightens his grip and picks Houk up, before dumping him to the ground. Houk manages to land in guard. Washburn controls from within his opponent's guard. Houk controls Washburn momentarily but Washburn frees himself. Washburn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Houk keeping full guard, as Washburn tries to pass. Houk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Washburn looking to pass the guard. Washburn stands and throws Houk's legs to the side, diving into side control. Washburn is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Washburn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Washburn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Houk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Houk wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Washburn throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Houk works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washburn with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ozzy Washburn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Houk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Washburn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ozzy Washburn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Houk doesn't manage to clinch there - Washburn circles away.
Houk slaps away a takedown attempt from Washburn, before circling back to the center of the mat. Houk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Washburn motions for Houk to come forward. Washburn throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Washburn rushes Houk and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Houk is trying to push Washburn away but Washburn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Zak Houk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Washburn stalling the fight.
And that's the end of the fight! Ozzy Washburn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Washburn winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
