Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justin Skyline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Cottrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Skyline! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Cottrell! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cottrell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Skyline quickly recovers to half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cottrell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Skyline works his way to full guard. Good work. Cottrell showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cottrell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skyline swivels though and keeps the full guard. Skyline has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cottrell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Skyline trying to control the position.
Cottrell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cottrell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cottrell sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skyline keeping moving, preventing Cottrell from controlling successfully. Cottrell is looking to work some ground and pound but Skyline has wrist control. Cottrell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Skyline throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cottrell escapes and throws Skyline's legs to the side, diving into side control! Skyline knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cottrell on the ground. Cottrell controlling the position from side mount. Skyline tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cottrell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skyline is not content to let Cottrell control the position. Cottrell controls the position. Let's hope that Cottrell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Skyline is trying to get back to half guard. Cottrell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Skyline rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cottrell's guard! Nice work there by Skyline! Cottrell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Skyline manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cottrell works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cottrell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Skyline is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cottrell pulls his head out easily. Cottrell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. That's four minutes gone in the round. Cottrell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cottrell tries to control but Skyline wriggling away. Cottrell looking to control and managing it successfully. Cottrell's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Skyline tries to lock up and control but Cottrell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Cottrell dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Cottrell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skyline was well out of range. Poor timing from Cottrell. Justin Skyline is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cottrell leaves Skyline with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Skyline fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Skyline tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cottrell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cottrell lands a body shot.
Cottrell misses with a hook. Cottrell tries to clinch up. Skyline defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cottrell. Skyline bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Skyline tries to sprawl but Cottrell drives through with a takedown into half guard. Skyline keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Tony Cottrell has got the better of the ground game so far. Cottrell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cottrell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skyline does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cottrell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cottrell trying to control from half guard but Skyline is working away. Cottrell wants to work for an arm triangle but Skyline is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Skyline looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cottrell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Skyline keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cottrell content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Cottrell is looking for a kimura here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tony Cottrell hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A punch combination from Cottrell misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skyline throws a head kick but Cottrell moves out of range.
Cottrell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cottrell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cottrell lands in his opponent's guard. Cottrell trying to control but Skyline is working from the bottom. Cottrell tries to free his leg and advance position but Skyline is retaining full guard. Cottrell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cottrell trying to control but Skyline is working from the bottom.

Cottrell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Skyline was covering up waiting for the punch and Cottrell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cottrell trying to control the position from guard on top but Skyline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cottrell throwing strikes but missing. Cottrell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Skyline's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cottrell not doing much here.

Tony Cottrell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Skyline's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
