Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Mandela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vega's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dead N Gone. Mandela has chosen Free Nelson Mandela as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega lands a nice looking body shot.
Mandela pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Vega. Those never looked like landing.
Vega displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mandela.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mandela checks a leg kick.
Mandela scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vega doesn't seem bothered though.
Vega throws a series of punches but Mandela avoids them all with ease.

Vega lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mandela's sensitive parts.

Vega tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mandela manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mandela throws a combination. Vega tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Vega throws a hook to the side of Mandela's head but Mandela sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mandela lands with a nice combination. Vega backs away looking to recover.
Vega is looking to wear down Mandela with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Vega chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mandela can pounce on him.

Mandela tries to bum rush Vega with a series of wild strikes but Vega uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Vega throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mandela sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mandela fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Esteban Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nelson Mandela.
The crowd cheers as Vega lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mandela doesn't seem phased though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vega pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Esteban Vega will probably get the nod.
That's time! Vega's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mandela misses with a kick to the body.
Mandela bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vega sneaks back into half guard.
Vega controlling the position for now.
Vega wants to improve his position but Mandela is controlling well.

Vega wants to control the action here but instead Mandela manages to pass to full mount!
Vega holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mandela tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Vega is trying desperately to improve position.

Vega tries to hold on but Mandela postures up.
Mandela postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vega looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mandela avoids the attempt from Vega to control.
Mandela looking to ground and pound but Vega is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Esteban Vega will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Vega wants to clinch up but Mandela keeps it at a distance.
Esteban Vega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mandela avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mandela shoots for a double leg takedown but Vega sprawls well. He's pushed Mandela's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vega lands with a hook. Mandela tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

so Mandela counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vega is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mandela makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Vega looking for a sweep. Not yet Vega, not yet.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vega holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Esteban Vega just wasn't active enough.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vega, right into the meat.
Mandela is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vega's half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vega is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mandela goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vega is on top in guard.
Mandela wants to control but Vega passes easily into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mandela is staying active underneath Vega, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nelson Mandela comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
