Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshii Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiyama's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Time to say Goodbye. Cross is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Exhibit C. Yoshii Akiyama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshii Akiyama!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donald Cross!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Akiyama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close round but I would say that Yoshii Akiyama will probably get the nod.

Cross pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Akiyama back to the cage. Cross follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yoshii Akiyama.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Akiyama, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
