Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mago Amarration (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiwi Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bird has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

0 - 99 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiwi Bird! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amarration scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Amarration taking a breather here. Amarration has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We're going to have a standup here because Mago Amarration wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bird gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bird can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amarration controls the pace.

Amarration seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bird for as long as he can get away with. Bird is breathing heavily.
