Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lance Shorey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cottontail Rabbit is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lance Shorey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 98 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cottontail Rabbit! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shorey shoots in and gets a takedown into Rabbit's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shorey gets to his feet - Rabbit follows without any prompting. Shorey plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Cottontail Rabbit has been cut. Shorey has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shorey lands a takedown into guard.
Shorey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Shorey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rabbit has eaten all the pies! Shorey stands and steps away. Rabbit gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Shorey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Rabbit's face as Shorey controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rabbit wants to get back to his feet. Shorey cracks Rabbit with a big elbow. Shorey scoring with punches from side control. Rabbit is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Shorey just content to control the position. Shorey decides to stand back up. Lance Shorey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shorey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rabbit's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shorey advances to half guard. Shorey seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rabbit is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lance Shorey! Our winner, Lance Shorey, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
