Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxim Mailov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Schnitzer Schnitz!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schnitz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mailov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Schnitz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mailov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Schnitz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mailov slaps away a takedown attempt from Schnitz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Schnitz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maxim Mailov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Schnitzer Schnitz.
Mailov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Schnitz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd cheers as Mailov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Schnitz doesn't seem phased though.
Schnitz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mailov quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Schnitz seems to be working for a kimura but Mailov defends the submission attempt.
Schnitz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mailov is looking for a sweep. Schnitz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schnitz trying to pass the guard but Mailov defending well.
Schnitz prevents Mailov from improving his position.
Schnitz is keen to just control but Mailov is a slippery customer.
Mailov trying to hold on to Schnitz's head to control him but Schnitz postures up.
Mailov keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Maxim Mailov wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Schnitz misses with a shot to the body
and Mailov counters with a good low kick that Schnitz was not able to check.

Mailov connects with a high kick.
Schnitz misses with a takedown attempt - Mailov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Schnitz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nice uppercut there from Mailov.
Schnitz fails with the takedown.
Mailov stuffs the takedown attempt from Schnitz. Schnitz gets slowly back to his feet.

and Mailov counters with a nice uppercut.
Schnitz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mailov counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Mailov. Schnitz shrugs it off though.
Mailov lands a glancing blow to the side of Schnitz's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Schnitzer Schnitz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schnitz tries for a takedown but Mailov circles away easily
and Mailov counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Mailov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schnitz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Schnitz misses with a double jab
and Schnitz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mailov scoring well with a low kick there.
Schnitz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mailov tries to avoid it but Schnitz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mailov to the ground. Mailov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schnitz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mailov. Mailov obviously looking to wear him down.
Schnitz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Schnitz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Schnitz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mailov finds it's way round the side to connect with Schnitz's head.

Schnitz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Mailov thumps Schnitz with a low kick.
Schnitz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mailov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Schnitz is breathing heavily.
Mailov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Schnitz.
Schnitz is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mailov drops Schnitz with a huge uppercut! Schnitz drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Mailov is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maxim Mailov!
